Character/Show: Dawn Summers on The WB's Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Premise: Michelle Trachtenberg plays Dawn, Buffy's little sister we never knew about. If you're scratching your head about the sudden appearance of a Buffy sib in Sunnydale, just go with it. Word is, Dawn doesn't have any special vampire-slaying skills. What she does have is the youth infusion Buffy creator Joss Whedon was looking for to complement his college-aged crew.

Most Notable Role: The pint-sized super-sleuth Harriet in 1996's Harriet the Spy (costarring Rosie O'Donnell).

Last Seen As: In a tiny role in the teen film Snow Day released earlier this year. You blinked, you missed her.

Worth A Look Because: The chemistry between Trachtenberg and Sarah Michelle Gellar is already there. The actresses both costarred on All My Children together and are good friends. It was Gellar who suggested Trachtenberg for the part of her little sis.
